Intelligence
Overview
The Indicators version of Intelligence is free for all Sonar Tracker and Sisra Analytics customers after it has been activated on your account. This article explains how to activate it for yourself and other users through Portal. It also explains what the different widget "states" mean on your Portal home page.
Prerequisites
- You must be an Account Owner or Account Admin in Portal. This is granted automatically to Sonar Tracker or Sisra Analytics Account Owners or Account Admin.
Understanding the widget states
The Intelligence widget on your Portal home page changes depending on your role, your products, and whether Indicators has been activated. Select an accordion below to view each state, understand who sees it and find out what it means:

The widget will look similar to the one below:
Who sees it What it means Everyone at a school that doesn't use Sonar Tracker or Sisra Analytics. Intelligence isn’t connected to your Juniper Education product(s) yet, check back soon for updates. -
The widget will look similar to the one below:
Who sees it What it means Minimal Read Only users at a Sonar Tracker or Sisra Analytics school. You can see what Intelligence offers, but you can't activate it. Ask your Account Owner or Account Admin to switch it on for you. -
The widget will look similar to the one below:
Who sees it What it means Account Owner or Account Admin, before Indicators is switched on. Select this to turn on Indicators for your own login. -
The widget will look similar to the one below:
Who sees it What it means Account Owner or Account Admin, straight after activating. Intelligence is gathering your school's data overnight. Check back the next day. -
The widget will look similar to the one below, with indicators for your product:
Who sees it What it means Account Owners, Account Admins and Partial Read Only users, when Intelligence Indicators is live. Your indicators are showing.
Activate Intelligence Indicators
Follow these steps to switch on Indicators for your own login.
- Go to your Portal home page (see Portal: How do I log into Portal? for further information).

Locate the Intelligence widget, that will look similar to the one below:
- Select Activate for free.
- Intelligence opens on the Activate Juniper Intelligence page. Read what Intelligence does and what you're agreeing to.
- Check the checkbox to agree.
- Select Activate.
Tips and best practices
Activating Indicators only switches it on for your own login. Every other user at your school keeps their existing view until you invite them or promote their role.
