Overview
This article explains how to enter or edit / change / update your Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) scores for pupils using the Statutory Assessments page in Juniper MIS.
Prerequisites
- To enter or edit Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) scores, pupils must currently be in Year 4. These scores cannot be entered or edited for pupils in any other year group.
- The government must have provided the school with the test results following the three-week assessment period in June.
Instructions
Follow these steps to enter your Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) scores:
- Select Pupils.
- Select Statutory Assessment to open the Statutory Assessment page:
- Select from using the Year Group filter.
- Select MTC from the Stage filter.
- Select Edit.

Work down the list and record / update the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) scores provided by the government. For each pupil, select an assessment value from the result drop-down or enter a valid assessment value:
- - - no score recorded yet.
- 0 - 25 - a numeric value between 0 and 25.
- A - Absent.
- B - Working below expectation.
- J - Just arrived at the school.
- L - Left.
- H - Pupil was cheating.
- Q - Maladministration.
- U - Unable to access test.
- NAA - Not Able to Administer.
- X - Check not taken and no reason for not taking the check given.
To save time, use bulk fill. Choose / enter a value in Fill With to apply it to all pupils listed in the Year Group (regardless of whether they are displayed or not on the page that you are viewing), then work through, adjusting any exceptions:
Outcome
- The assessment records are stored / updated based on your changes. The Pupil statutory assessment has been updated successfully message is displayed:
- The Statutory Assessment page refreshes, showing the pupils' latest statutory assessment records:
- Select Export and select a file type (from Excel, CSV or PDF) to export the data displayed on your screen as required:
- The Tests tab in each individual pupil's record is updated to reflect their newly added Multiplication Test Check score (see MIS: How do I view a pupil's statutory assessment results?)
