Overview
This article explains how to create a news page using a News Category. You can have multiple news pages across your website each with its own category of news. This is useful, for example, if you want to have Class News, Sports, News or Whole School News areas.
Depending on your website design, a News Category that feeds News Stories to your homepage may have already been configured.
Prerequisites
By default, you must be an administrator to create a News Category.
Instructions
- Navigate to the area of your website where you would like to create a News Category.
- Select News Category from the Create tab:
The News Category dialog window will appear: - Enter a name for your News Category in Category Name, for example, Latest News.
- Enter a description for your category in the Category Description field, for example, "Read the latest school news here".
- Select Create to create and save your News Category.
Outcome
Your News Category is created, displayed, and ready for you to add your first news article.
