Sonar Tracker: How do I identify opportunities to increase my Combined RWM percentage?

Overview

This article explains how to use the Primary Target Analysis report to identify those pupils who are not on track to meet their targets in the individual subjects that make up Combined RWM. Using the report you can view each pupil's performance compared to their target for each of the three individual subjects.

Before determining which pupils are not on track to meet their targets, you must enter their targets. Targets are not automatically generated for you. Targets can not be copied from one term to the next so we recommend entering them for Summer 2 so you can refer to them throughout the year. See Sonar Tracker: How do I set primary targets? for more information.

Instructions

  1. Select Reports.
  2. Select Primary Target Analysis.
  3. When prompted, select the pupils you wish to include in the report by selecting one or more Year Groups and/or Classes:
  4. Select Load Report. This opens the Target Analysis report in its default view:
  5. Select Display Options and de-select all options except for Pupil Table:

The report view will update as follows:

After creating this view, bookmark it for easy access later. This will save you time when revisiting the report to identify opportunities in more than one subject to increase your combined RWM percentage. See Sonar Tracker: How do I create a bookmark? for further information.

Outcome

Having identified the pupils who are not on track to meet their target for the various subjects (where the Difference is a negative number highlighted in red) put in place appropriate supporting interventions. If a significant number of pupils are struggling to meet their targets, it might be helpful to revisit the subject material.
