Sonar Tracker: How do I identify pupils who are not on track for GLD because of one subject?

Overview

This article explains how to use the Sonar Tracker: EYFS Good Level of Development Tracking Report to view those pupils who are not currently on track for GLD because of a shortfall in one subject.

Where pupils are not yet achieving GLD, you can identify which one of the twelve subject areas the pupil is not achieving the expected standard and introduce interventions to maximise their opportunity for GLD.

Instructions

  1. Select Reports.
  2. Select EYFS Good Level of Development Tracking.
  3. When prompted, select the pupils you wish to include in the report by selecting one or more Year Groups and/or Classes then select Load Report:

Outcome

The report is displayed:

Scan down the list identifying those pupils whose Number of Goals At ARE is 11.

For each pupil whose Number of Goals At ARE is 11, look at their individual Subject Area assessments to identify the subject where they are not working to the expected standard.

Using this information, put in place interventions for each pupil to help them achieve the expected standard in the one subject where they are not currently doing so. A successful intervention would result in the pupil achieving the expected standard at the end of the Key Stage across all 12 subjects that make up GLD.
