Sonar Tracker: Single Pupil Overview Report

Overview

This article provides an overview of the Single Pupil Overview report's purpose, guidance on how to access it, the various types of information it contains, and the different controls that help you customise what you see in the report.

Purpose

The Single Pupil Overview report gives you an overview of an individual pupil's attainment and progress over time.

Using this information, you can see how a pupil is performing across all subjects across a variety of assessments:

  • Formative.
  • Summative ARE judgements.
  • Summative school based tests.
  • Statutory outcomes, allowing triangulation of assessments.

You can use this to focus on how an individual child is doing against year group expectations, where extra support might be helpful as well as reviewing the impact of such support,

The information held in this report can be useful during parental consultations (such as parent evening meetings). Parents will see a snapshot of where their child is working, whether that be the percentage of the curriculum they are secure with, where they are working in relation to the year group expectations or how they performed in a test.

The report comprises two views:

  • Single Pupil Overview view. This is the default view. It shows the pupil's Key Stage Outcomes, Contextual flags, formative and summative assessment details across all terms for this academic year (and optionally those from the last assessment period of the last academic year) and any test scores. The subjects displayed on the report are Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
  • Single Pupil Overview - Individual Subject view. Accessed by selecting next to either Reading, Writing or Mathematics, this view provides more detail about the pupil's formative and summative assessment at an individual subject level. Within the view, you are able to select any curriculum subject, to see a greater level of detail.
