Subject Progress 8 cannot be calculated in Sisra Analytics. This is because the DfE only give guidance for Attainment 8 estimates for Progress 8 to be calculated for individual baskets, for example, English, Maths, EBacc, and Open, and for overall Progress 8. They do not provide guidance for Attainment 8 estimates, allowing Progress 8 to be calculated for individual qualifications.
To accommodate for this, Sisra-exclusive Subject Progress Index (SPI) measure has been created. This compares a student's performance in a subject with that of all students who had the same KS2 Prior in the Sisra Data Collaboration event published by your Sisra administrator.
This is available for cohorts from 2017/18 leavers to current year 10 students. Following the release of the DfE's Performance Points each Summer Term, it is also enabled for current Year 9.
This can be useful to compare the performance of students, qualifications, classes, faculties, filters, and more! Think subject Progress 8, but better!
