Sisra Analytics: How do I exclude student data filters from reports for a specific cohort? (Admin)

Overview

This article explains how you can exclude filters from the reports for a specific cohort in KS3/4 and KS5 reports. There are many circumstances where you may want to do this, for example, if you are an all-boys or all-girls school, you may want to remove the Gender filter. Filters can be excluded:

  • For an individual cohort across the whole report.
  • From particular sections and/or features of the reports. 

Instructions

Select a Key Stage below to view the instructions:

  • To exclude a student data filter from the reports in Key Stage 3/4:

    1. Select DATA > select Key Stage 3/4 and cohort.
    2. Select Students  > Report Options.
    3. Select Edit:
    4. Uncheck the appropriate student filter(s) to remove it from reports / exclude it from certain sections or features. For example:
      1. To remove a filter completely from the reports, uncheck Include / Exclude Filter.
      2. To restrict where it is available, select one of the other options, for example, if you didn't want to show the KS2 Banding filter in the Student Detail reports, uncheck it in the Student Detail column.

    5. Select Save.
    6. Go to Students > Publish Students to republish your student data.
  • To exclude a student data filter from the reports in Key Stage 5:

    1. Select DATA > select Key Stage 5 and cohort.
    2. Select Students  > Report Options.
    3. Select Edit:
    4. To exclude a filter completely from the reports, toggle Active off so that it turns red:
    5. To exclude a filter from specific sections/features of the reports:
      1. Toggle Show Advanced Filter Options on.
      2. Toggle each filter on / off as required:

    6. Select Save.
    7. Go to Students > Publish Students to republish your student data.

Outcome

After making filter changes and republishing your data, the changes will be made to the reports when opened.
