Sisra Analytics: How do I resolve a QN/EAP mismatch in KS5? (Admin)

Overview

This article explains what to do if a QN/EAP Mismatch warning icon is displayed on the Grades Management page. This occurs when a qualification is matched to an EAP using an incorrect grade structure. This could be because of the selection of:

  • An incorrect QN/Qual Title.
  • An incorrect EAP.
  • The selection of the wrong grade method in your EAP.

See Sisra Analytics: Grades Management (Admin) for information about other warning icons.

      1. Go to  DATA > Key Stage 5 > Cohort > Grades > Matching.
      2. Check that your qualification matches the correct qualification in Qual Title.
      3. If it does, go to Step 2.
      4. If it doesn't:
        1. Enter the appropriate QN code in Qual Title
        2. Select the correct qualification from the list.
        3. Save your changes. This should fix the problem. If it doesn't go to Step 2.
      1. Go to DATA > Key Stage 5 > Cohort > Grades > Matching.
      2. Select the magnifying glass next to the Qualification:

      3. From the pop-up, note the Grade Method Structure being used and the Expected Method Structure:
      4. Continue to Step 3.
      1. Go to  CONFIG > Key Stage 5 > Cohort > Grade Methods > KS5 Methods.
      2. Check that your qualification matches the correct qualification in Qual Title.
      3. If you have the Grade Method, go to Step 4.
      4. If you don't, create this as a Grade Method:
        1. Select Create KS5 Grade Method.
        2. Search for the name of the structure in Search Grading Structures.
        3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
        4. After setting up the Grade Method,  create a new EAP (see Sisra Analytics: KS5 - Creating EAPs (Admin)).
        5. Select DATA.
        6. Select Key Stage 5.
        7. Select Cohort.
        8. Select Grades.
        9. Select Matching.
        10. Select Edit.
        11. Assign the new EAP to the qualification.
        12. Select Save Changes. This should fix the problem.
      1. Go to DATA > Key Stage 5 > Cohort > KS4 / EAP > EAP / Baselines > EAP to check.
      2. If you have a suitable EAP, with the correct Grade Method:
        1. Select DATA.
        2. Select Key Stage 5.
        3. Select Cohort.
        4. Select Grades.
        5. Select Edit.
        6. Assign the suitable EAP to the qualification.
        7. Select Save Changes. This should fix the problem.
      3. If you don't have a suitable EAP with the correct Grade Method, there are two options.
        1. If you cannot edit your existing EAP, create a new EAP with the expected grade structure shown in the pop-up (see Sisra Analytics: KS5 - Creating EAPs (Admin)) and assign it to the qualification. This should fix the problem.
        2. If you can edit your existing EAP:
          1. Open DATA > Key Stage 5 > Cohort > KS4 / EAP > EAP / Baselines > EAP.
          2. Select the EAP for the qualification
          3. Select Edit EAP.
          4. Select the correct Grade Method Structure from Assessment Methods:
          5. Select Save. This should fix the problem.

When editing an EAP, check that it is not used by any other qualifications, which may be affected.

After adding an EAP or updating an existing one, republish your KS4 / EAP data (KS4 / EAP > Publish KS4 / EAP), then publish/republish your Grades data (Grades > Publish Grades).
