Overview
This article explains how to enter your Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) data into Sonar Tracker.
Assessment data should only be manually entered into one system. From that system, it should be electronically exported and imported into other systems. As a school, you can decide whether to:
- (Advised) Import the CTF from the MTC checking service into Sonar Tracker (see Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF?)
- Import your MTC data into Sonar Tracker using a CTF you have created in your MIS (see Sonar Tracker: How do I import Statutory Data from a CTF?)
- Import your MTC data into Sonar Tracker using a CTF from Get Information about pupils Sonar Tracker: How do I download a CTF from GIAP?
Alternatively you can enter this data manually;
Instructions
- Select Assess.
- From the Statutory Assessments pane, select Multiplication Tables Check:
- Select the Year Group and/or Class of your choice, then select Load Assessments:
- Select Load Assessments to open the Multiplication Tables Check page:
- To enter an individual pupil's multiplication check score/code, select the appropriate cell.
- Enter the pupil's multiplication check score/code.
- Select another cell.
Outcome
The pupil's multiplication check score/code is recorded and a green Saved indicator is displayed when one of the codes above is used.
If an invalid value is entered, the multiplication check score/code cell will turn red and will not be saved:
Select the exclamation mark icon to view permitted values:
When you enter lots of data, make sure the green Saved indicator continues to display. Issues such as poor internet may prevent saving. If the data does not save check your internet connection.
Reporting MTC
You can see MTC data as part of the Statutory Dashboard in the Analysis Tab (This report is updated overnight so will reflect any changes made the following day)
