Sisra Analytics: How do I view my figures with certain students temporarily excluded?

Overview

This article explains how you can view your figures with (or without) the results of students whose grades have been affected by special circumstances using Focus Groups.

Prerequisites

  • To create a Focus Group, you must be an administrator (anyone can filter reports using a Focus Group).

Instructions

To create a Focus Group:

  1. Select DATA > select Keystage and Cohort
  2. Select Students > Focus Groups:
  3. Select Create Focus Group to open the Create Focus Group for... window:

  4. Enter a Focus Group Name
  5. Enter a Focus Group Description.
  6. Select Create, to create and open the Focus Group:
  7. Select the students to include in your Focus Group. To speed up this process:

    1. Select Include to check all students.
    2. Scroll through the list and uncheck any students that you want to exclude. 
  8. Select Save.
  9. Re-publish your Student data.

To filter a report using your Focus Group:

  1. Open your report.
  2. Filter your figures using your Focus Group that excludes students not selected in the group:

    1. Select the Filters tab
    2. Select Add Filters.
    3. Check your Focus Group
    4. Select Apply

Outcome

You created a new Focus Group that can be used to filter your reports. When you filter using the report, the results displayed are only for students in the Focus Group.
