Got a Intelligence question? You're in the right place.

General

  • Intelligence is a Juniper Education product, powered by AI, that looks at the data already sitting in Sonar Tracker or Sisra Analytics and highlights the groups of pupils in your establishment where intervention and focus may be beneficial. It supports professional judgement, rather than replacing it, to help you make decisions about your pupils. It does not make automated decisions for you. You can view Intelligence content through the product directly and it's widget on the Portal home page. See What is Intelligence? for a full overview.

  • When you launch the Intelligence product, by selecting it's name from Your Juniper Products or Visit Intelligence in it's widget (within Portal), you can see:

    1. All indicators (the widget restricts you to five).
    2. The evidence behind each indicator, for example, the individual pupils and their details (if you subscribe to Evidence).
    3. The AI Communities feed.
    4. Links to gov.uk AI-related training.

    Additionally, soon you will be able to view answers from Intelligence (our AI powered chat function).

    Your Intelligence will look similar to the example below when launched:

  • At launch, Intelligence Indicators works with Sonar Tracker and Sisra Analytics. 

    In the future, you will be able to connect other JoinUp products to Intelligence. 

    If your school uses another Juniper Education product (rather than Sonar Tracker of Sisra Analytics), you'll see a message in the Intelligence widget on your Portal home page indicating that Intelligence is coming soon, similar to the one below:

  • Intelligence Indicators, the free version of Intelligence does not name individual pupils, instead it points to groups where you may wish to focus further. 

    If you subscribe to Intelligence Evidence, you can see the specific pupils behind each indicator.

  • Intelligence is updated overnight for certain products and periodically for others, depending on when new or updated underlying data becomes available. Update frequency of indicators may, therefore, vary between products.

Activating Intelligence

  • Only an Account Owner or Account Admin of Sonar Tracker or Sisra Analytics can activate Indicators.
  • Intelligence needs an overnight sync to gather your school's data. Your indicators will be available the following day, after the sync has successfully completed. 
  • No, activating Intelligence only switches it on for your login. To provide other staff members with access to Intelligence, see Managing who can see Intelligence in your school.

Roles and access

  • This is usually because your school hasn't activated Indicators yet, or your have not yet been given permission by your Account Owner or Account Admin to see them. See Why can't I see my Intelligence indicators? for the full list of causes.
  • As an Account Owner or Account Admin, you can grant a user Partial Read-only access to Intelligence in Portal. Access is managed in the same way that it is for other JoinUp products. See Managing who can see Intelligence in your school. for the steps.

Tiers and pricing

  • Intelligence Indicators shows the groups of pupils where you may wish to focus further. 

    If you subscribe to Intelligence Evidence, you the specific pupils behind each indicator.

  • Intelligence Indicators is free for every Sonar Tracker or Sisra Analytics customer. 

    Intelligence Evidence is a paid subscription. 

    Intelligence School Improvement is coming soon.

  • A Trust-wide view is still in development. In the meantime, each school in your Trust can activate Indicators individually.
