Overview

This article explains how to invite a staff member to use Sisra Analytics through Portal.

Users are given access to Portal automatically (in addition to the product you are inviting them to), based on the highest role they hold across their subscribed products.

This article assumes your staff member has already been added to your school's MIS. This can happen automatically through Wonde, or manually in Juniper MIS.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator.
  • The member of staff must have been added to your school's MIS (Juniper Education or third-party).
  • When using a third-party MIS, staff members' details must have been sent over to Portal from your school's MIS - new staff members are sent from your school's MIS to Portal overnight.

Follow these steps to send an invitation to a staff member to use Sisra Analytics:

  1. Switch to Portal (for further information, see How do I switch between Juniper apps / products?).

  2. Select User Invitations:

  3. Select Staff:

  4. Select Send Invitations.

  5. Select Sisra Analytics from Product:

  6. Select Administrator or User from Assign Role (or if you have custom roles, select one of those), depending on the level of access you want to give:

  7. Select one or more staff members from the list to invite them:

  8. Select Send Invitations.

Tips and best practices

If you're also inviting this staff member to other products, repeat these steps for each one. Roles can differ between products, so check each one separately.

Outcome

Portal creates an invitation for each staff member you selected and sends them an email. A confirmation message appears once the invitations are sent.

A new user receives a link in their email to accept the invitation and register. An existing user of another Juniper product receives an email instead. It confirms that Sisra Analytics will be available next time they sign in to Portal.

New users have 14 days to register before their invitation expires. If they don't register in time, you'll need to invite them again. See Portal: How do I re-invite a staff member to register? for further information.
