Overview

This article explains how to add a staff member in Juniper MIS, ready to invite them to use Sisra Analytics.

Only add a staff member this way if your school doesn't sync staff records to us using Wonde. If your school syncs to us through Wonde, add your new staff member to your third-party MIS. Overnight, your staff records sync automatically from your current MIS into Juniper Education's systems and you don't need to add them manually through Juniper MIS.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator with permission to add staff members in Juniper MIS.
  • Your school must not sync staff records to us using Wonde.

Instructions

Follow these steps to create a record for the new staff member in Juniper MIS, ready to invite to use Sisra Analytics:

  1. Open MIS (for further information, see How do I switch between Juniper apps / products?)
  2. Select Staff.
  3. Select All Staff.

  4. Select Create:

    Enter the following information:

    1. Enter the user's Forname and Surname
    2. Select Gender and Date of Birth (these do not need to be genuine personal details).
    3. Select a System Status of Applicant or Current (this must be Current for the user to be granted immediate access).
    4. Enter an Email address (this is used by the user when logging on).
    5. Select an Address Type.
    6. Enter the first line of the staff member's address in Address Line 1 (this does not need to be genuine details).
    7. Enter a postcode in Address Postcode (this does not need to be genuine details).
  5. Select Save.

Enter all mandatory details, marked with an asterisk, plus any optional details you want to record. The fields above are the minimum needed to create the record.

Outcome

Juniper MIS saves the record and assigns the staff member a unique Staff ID. A confirmation message appears, and the staff member appears at the end of the staff list:

Next steps

The staff member's record is now ready. You can invite them to use Sisra Analytics from Portal.

Tips and best practices

Double check the staff member's email address before you select Save. Portal uses it to send their Sisra Analytics invitation.
