Sonar Multi-School: How do I log in and switch between Sonar Tracker and Sonar Multi-School?

Overview

This article explains how to log in to Sonar Multi-School at MAT level and at individual school level, and how to switch between Sonar Tracker (at a school-level) and Sonar Multi-School once you are signed in.

Prerequisites

  • Sonar Multi-School is only available to users who are part of a multi-school establishment, for example, a Multi Academy Trust and subscribe to the product. 
  • Your administrator must have provided you with a MAT-level user account with the correct permissions to use Sonar Multi-School.

Log in to Sonar Multi-School

Log in to Sonar Multi-School using the same process as Sonar Tracker. When prompted to select an account, select your Trust rather than an individual school:

  1. Open sonar.junipereducation.org in your browser.
  2. Enter your school email address and select Continue.
  3. When prompted, check your email address is correct, then enter your password
  4. Select Continue or Login (depending on what is displayed on your screen).

  5. If you have more than one school assigned to your account, or have Sonar Multi-School, you will be prompted to select an account:

    1. Choose your Trust from the list to open Sonar Multi-School at MAT level.
    2. Choose an individual school to open Sonar Tracker for that school.

If this is the first time you log in, you must set up Two Factor Authentication (2FA). See Portal: How do I enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA)? for guidance.

Switch between your MAT and schools

Follow these steps to switch between your Trust and an individual school, or between schools, from within Sonar Tracker / Sonar Multi-School:

  1. From Sonar Tracker, select the avatar in the top right-hand corner of the Omnibar:

  2. Select the School that you want to switch to from the list (the avatar menu may differ depending on your version of Sonar Tracker / Multi-School:

MAT-level users will see both their Trust and their individual schools listed under Other accounts, making it easy to move between the MAT-level view and a specific school's data.

The screen updates to show the selected school or Trust. The name at the top of the page updates to confirm which account you are now viewing.

Switch between products

The Omnibar across the top of Sonar Tracker / Sonar Multi-School (or Portal) lets you switch between Juniper Education products without signing out. Follow these steps:

  1. Select the 2 x 2 grid (product switcher) in the top right corner of the screen:

  2. A list of all apps available to you is displayed. Depending upon your version of Sonar Tracker / Sonar Multi-School, you will see a screen similar to one of the two below. The apps displayed will differ based on the products your school subscribes to. The product you are currently using (Sonar Tracker or Sonar Multi-School) is marked with a green Active label:

  3. Select the product (Sonar Tracker or Sonar Multi-School) you want to switch to. The product opens in a new browser window.
