Overview
This article explains how to set a contact as the Primary Contact by rearranging the order of contacts in a pupil's record when multiple contacts exist. The Primary Contact is the first listed under the Contacts tab. Primary contacts are used for example, for targeted communication and appear as a Quick Select option.
Instructions
Within MIS, follow these steps to set a primary contact by rearranging the order of contacts in a pupil's record when multiple contacts exist for that pupil:
- Select Pupils.
- Select All Pupils.
- Find the pupil whose contact details you want to edit (use the search bar or filters to speed up this process as appropriate):
- Select the pupil's name to open their record:
- From the pupil's record, select the Contacts tab:
- Select Reorder:
Select the up and down arrows beside the contact(s) to reorder the list:
The order of the contacts in the list represents their contact order. The first contact in the list is the Primary Contact.
- Select Save.
Outcome
A message confirming the changes have been made is displayed and the sort order is updated based on the changes made:
