Events
Overview
This article. explains how to manage bookings in advance of Parents' Evening events. You will need to make, modify and decline bookings on behalf of those parents who do not have access to the Juniper Education App, or choose to ask you to manage the booking for them for another reason. The article explains how to:
- View existing bookings (made either manually or through the Juniper Education App)
- Make / add a new booking on behalf of a parent.
- Change an existing booking
- Decline a parents' invitation to make a booking, for example, if they cannot attend the Parents' Evening.
Open a Parents' Evening
Follow these steps to open the Parents' Evening you want to view / update the details of:
- Open Events if it is not already open.
- Select Parents' Evening.
Locate the Parents' Evening that you want to open. Enter your search terms into the Search bar and apply Filters as necessary:
After locating the Parents' Evening, select its Title to open it:
The Parents' Evening opens:
View existing bookings
Follow these steps to view any existing bookings that have been made for a Parent's Evening:
Select the Bookings tab:
All existing Bookings are displayed:
Enter your search terms into the Search bar and apply Filters as necessary to locate a specific booking:
Make / add a new booking
Follow these steps to make / add a new booking on behalf of a parent from the Bookings tab:
Locate the Pupil and Contact for whom you want to add the new booking (the Contact will have an Invited lozenge next to their name):
Where a Pupil has multiple Contacts listed, an appointment can be made for each Contact as appropriate, for example, if parents are separated.
Select the ellipsis in the Operations column to open the booking menu and select Edit Status:
From Update Status:
- Change the Status from Invited to Booked.
- Select a Time Slot.
Select Update:
An update message confirms that your changes have been successful and the booking has been made. The lozenge after the contact name updates to Booked, and the time and date are displayed in the Time Slot column:
Change an existing booking
Follow these steps to change an existing booking from the Bookings tab:
- Locate the Pupil and Contact whose booking you want to update.
Select the ellipsis in the Operations column to open the booking menu and select Edit Status:
From Update Status, select a new Time Slot (time and date) from those available:
Select Update:
An update message confirms that any changes you have made to the time and date have been successfully saved and the booking updated. The updated time and date are displayed in the Time Slot column for the appropriate appointment:
Decline a booking
Follow these steps to decline an invitation to attend the Parents' Evening on behalf of a parent from the Bookings tab:
- Locate the pupil whose parents' are declining the Parents' Evening invitation.
Select the ellipsis in the Operations column to open the booking menu and select Edit Status:
From Update Status, change Status from Invited to Declined:
Select Update:
An update message confirms that the change you have made to the time and date have been successfully saved and the booking updated, confirming that it has been declined:
