This article explains how to cancel a parents' evening that has been published:

If the parents' evening you want to cancel is still saved as a draft, delete it. For more information, see Working with a draft parents' evening.

Open a parents' evening

Follow these steps to open, a published parents' evening: 

  1. Open Events.
  2. Select Parents' Evening.
  3. From All Parents' Evenings, locate the parents' evening.
  4. Select the Parents' Evening to open it:

Cancel a parents' evening

Follow these steps to cancel a parents' evening that has been published:

  1. Select Cancel Parents' Evening:

  2. Check the Cancel Parents' Evening: details and a reason explaining why the club has been cancelled in Reason for Cancellation. This will be included in the communication that is sent to parents:

  3. Select Cancel Parents' Evening.
  4. When prompted, select Yes to confirm the cancellation of the parents' evening:

    The parents' evening is cancelled. A message is sent to all invitees confirming the cancellation. A confirmation is also displayed in the parents' evening record along with the reason for cancellation. A modal is shown next to the title of the event indicating that it is cancelled:

    When you return to All Parents' Evenings, the parents' evening's entry is listed as having a Cancelled Status:

Next steps

After cancelling the parents' evening, make sure you notify parents who did not receive an invitation to the event online, so that they are aware that it has been cancelled.
