Overview
This article explains how to cancel a parents' evening that has been published:
If the parents' evening you want to cancel is still saved as a draft, delete it. For more information, see Working with a draft parents' evening.
Demonstration
Open a parents' evening
Follow these steps to open, a published parents' evening:
- Open Events.
- Select Parents' Evening.
- From All Parents' Evenings, locate the parents' evening.

Cancel a parents' evening
Follow these steps to cancel a parents' evening that has been published:

Select Cancel Parents' Evening:

Check the Cancel Parents' Evening details and enter a reason explaining why the parents' evening has been cancelled in Reason for Cancellation. This will be included in the communication that is sent to parents / carers:
- Select Cancel Parents' Evening.

When prompted, select Yes to confirm the cancellation of the parents' evening:
The parents' evening is cancelled. A message is sent to all invitees confirming the cancellation. A confirmation is also displayed in the parents' evening record along with the reason for cancellation. A modal is shown next to the title of the event indicating that it is cancelled:
When you return to All Parents' Evenings, the parents' evening's entry is listed as having a Cancelled Status:
Next steps
After cancelling the parents' evening, make sure you notify parents / carers who did not receive an invitation to the event online, so that they are aware that it has been cancelled.
