People First: How do I re-employ a leaver?

Overview

This article describes how to re-employ a former employee who is marked as a leaver if they decide to return to your organisation, after previously leaving.

If you have an employee flagged to leave your organisation, but has decided that they no longer wish to leave (their leaving date is in the future), you must reinstate them. See for People First: How do I reinstate a leaver? for further information. 

Instructions

Follow these steps to re-employ a person who has previously left your organisation (their leaving date is in the past):

  1. Using the search feature from the home page, select Leavers, locate the leaver whom you want to reinstate, and open their employee record:
  2. Select the Personal tab.
  3. Select the Employment tab.
  4.  From within Key actions, select Re-employ this person:
  5. When prompted:

    1. Select their new Employment start date.
    2. Select Re-employ.
  6. When prompted:

    1. Select the a Job for the employee.
    2. Select Assign.

Outcome

The leaver is reemployed into the job you selected. A message is displayed to confirm this:
