Overview
This article describes how to reinstate someone previously marked as a leaver, if they decide they no longer wish to leave the organisation after being processed as such.
Do not reinstate a leaver who has already left your organisation. You must only reinstate a leaver who has not yet actually left the organisation. For those who have already left the organisation, you must re-employ them. See People First: How do I re-employ a leaver? for further information.
Instructions
Follow these steps to reinstate a leaver before they leave your organisation:
- From the Organisation Chart, or using the search feature, locate the leaver whom you want to reinstate, and open their employee record.
- Select the Personal tab.
- Select the Employment tab.
- Select Key actions to expand:
- From within Key actions, select Reinstate this person:
- When prompted, select Yes to reinstate the leaver and their job(s):
Outcome
The leaver is reinstated into the job that they were previously assigned. A message is displayed to confirm this:
You must reverse any National Insurance category change you have made to the leaver as applicable.
