Overview
This article explains how to record a behaviour incident that involves one or more pupils.
Instructions
Follow these steps to record a behaviour incident:
Open the behaviour log
To open the behaviour log in the Juniper MIS:
- Select Pupils.
- Select Behaviours.
- Select All Behaviours.
Record the behaviour incident
- Select Create:
- From Create Behaviour:
- Select one or more pupils from Add Pupils.
- Select an appropriate Behaviour Type1.
- Select an appropriate Behaviour Category1.
- Review the number of Category Points, then add / change as required. Depending on how you use the system in your school, positive behaviour could be awarded higher points than negative behaviour. Negative behaviour may be configured with a negative number.
- Select the Date of the incident.
- Optionally, enter a Description of the incident.
- Select Save.
1 - Behaviour Types and Behaviour Categories are configured to meet your school's needs. To add / change these, speak to your school's MIS administrator.
Outcome
The behaviour is recorded and appended to the All Behaviours list. A message confirming the behaviour has been saved is displayed:
Select the Behaviour Name to open the record so that you can view / edit it.
