Overview
This article explains how to add / award reward points to pupils within a class from the Class page in the Teacher App when signed in as a teacher.
Prerequisites
- You must have a Juniper Education account. This is your school email address and password. If you are unable to log in using the app, speak to your school's Juniper Administrator.
- You must be logged into the Juniper Education App (Teacher App) using your school email address and password.
Instructions
To add / award points to one or more pupils:
- Open a class (for further information, see Teacher App: How do I see a list of my classes using the Teacher App? or Teacher App: How do I see a list of all classes using the Teacher App?):
- Select one or more pupils to add / award points to (or select Select All to add / award points to all pupils in the class). The selected pupils' names are ticked.
- Select Add Points.
- From Add Points:
- Select the number of points, using the - and + controls. Points are awarded in increments of 5.
- Optionally, add a Summary explaining why you are awarding the points.
- Select Save.
Outcome
Depending on how your system is configured, the points are saved and will be either:
- Automatically added / awarded to the pupil's point tally and published in the Parent App.
- Sent for review and approval by an Account owner, Account Admin or a user with Full Edit permissions before being added / awarded to the pupil point tally and published in the Parent App. When this happens, the following message is displayed:
