Prerequisites

You must be an administrator to access the Matoma Dashboard.

Instructions

  1. Select Webstats from the Website tab:
  2. The Matomo Dashboard will open in a new tab:
  3. Select a date / date range over which you would like to view page visits:
    1. Select the calendar icon from the top menu bar.
    2. Select a Period from day, week, month, year or a specific date range.
    3. Select the specific period from the calendar.

  4. Locate the Pages widget:
  5. Locate the URL of the Page (Bold Page URLs can be selected to expand).

Outcome

Page views are displayed in two columns. One indicates the Page Views and the other Unique Page Views.

Page Views count every page load, regardless of the user

Unique Page Views count each page as viewed once per user session

If a user visits a page multiple times in one session, it counts as one Unique Page View.

Unique Page Views provide a clearer picture of distinct users accessing a page, while Page Views reflect the total number of times the page has loaded.
