Overview
This article explains how to crop images you plan to use in your slideshow.
When selecting and cropping images, consider which ones are suitable for use in a slideshow. Remember, the area they have to fit into is very long and narrow on a computer. Choose images that when cropped to fit, will still look great! For example, portrait photos may be difficult to crop, and images when your subject is very zoomed in may look out of place. When on other devices, the dimensions will change, so you need to make sure the central portion of the image contains the focus.
Prerequisites
You must be an Administrator to manage slideshow images.
Instructions
To crop an image in File Manager:
- Locate the image.
- Select the Crop icon from the small toolbar when you hover over the image.
- Select the area that you want to display using the dashed box. The dashed outline will turn green when you have selected an appropriately sized part of the image.
- After selecting the area you want to display, select the Crop tab.
When you crop an image in Juniper Websites the change is permanent. Any changes you make cannot be reverted. Have a backup of your image on your device before cropping.
Outcome
