You may notice a difference in the percentage of 9-5 grades in a subject on your Headlines > Summary > Whole Cohort report compared to the Grades > Overview > Qualifications report (when switched to a percentage and cumulative view). This is due to how percentages are calculated in different reports.
The example reports below show 81.0% of Students Achieving 9-5 in Maths on the left report, and 86.2% on the right, despite both having a grade count showing 162:
In your Headlines report (left), the percentages are calculated from the total number of students included in the cohort (in this case, 200). 162 out of 200 students have achieved a 9-5 grade in Maths, giving you the percentage of 162 / 200 = 81.0%.
In the Grades reports (right), the percentages are calculated from the total number of grades in the subject rather than the total number of students. This could be higher than the number of students (for example, due to resits), or lower if some students do not have a grade in that subject. In this example, 12 students do not have a grade in Maths (therefore, 200 - 12 = 188 students do have a grade in Maths), so the report says that 162 out of 188 grades in Maths were a 9-5 grade, giving you the percentage of 162 / 188 = 86.2%.
