Juniper Websites: How do I create a blog post?

Overview

This article explains how you add a blog post to a blog. Blog posts are a great way to keep your community updated. Blog posts include the details of the post and the name of the person posting the update.

Prerequisites

To create a blog post, a blog must be set up. See Juniper Websites: How do I create a blog?

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Blog Category where you want to add a post, for example, Head Teacher's Blog or similar.
  2. Select Post from the Create tab:

    A New Blog Post page will open:
  3. Overtype the New Blog Post title with an appropriate title for your post.
  4. Select Upload Thumbnail if you want to upload a thumbnail image and select an appropriate image (See Juniper Websites: Cropping Thumbnail Images and setting Alternative Text if you need more help).
  5. Overtype Please enter an introduction for your blog post here with your introduction text.
  6. Enter your blog content by overtyping Please enter some content for your blog post here.  
  7. Optionally add an attachment to the post by selecting Upload Attachment and selecting one or more files. 
  8. Save your blog post using the appropriate option (see Juniper Websites: Saving an Item of Content on Juniper Websites if you need more help).

Outcome

The blog post will be saved and available to view. A thumbnail will be added to the blog that can be selected, for example, this welcome back update:
