Sonar Tracker: How can I compare test scores with teacher assessment?

Overview

There is no single report that lets you do this directly in Sonar Tracker, instead, you can use a workaround. This article explains the workaround that enables you to view your test scores against your summative teacher assessment using data stored in the Subject Overview report. From the Subject Overview report view Summative against ARE in one browser tab for each subject. Then view Test Scores against ARE for the same subject in another browser tab. Use the two tabs to toggle between the report views for comparison.

Instructions

  1. Select Reports.
  2. Select the Subject Overview report.
  3. When prompted, select the pupils you wish to include in the report by selecting one or more Year Groups and/or Classes:
  4. Select Load Report. This opens the Subject Overview report in its default Summative against ARE view:
  5. Create a duplicate Sonar Tracker tab in your web browser. How you do this will vary based on your device or web browser. The example below is for Google Chrome, but the same principle applies to Microsoft Edge:
  6. Select the new, duplicate browser tab to switch to it:
  7. Select Test scores against ARE using the view control:

This opens the Subject Overview report in its default Test scores against ARE view: in the new tab

Outcome

You can switch between the content in the two tabs to compare the subject test scores against the summative teacher assessment for each pupil.
