Getting Started
When you are logged in to Multi-School, you can view the different reports available for your Trust by using the left side navigation bar, as well as access reports from KS4 (if applicable):
Further information on each of these areas is explained below:
Overview report
The Overview report provides a summary of data across your trust for key headline measures including Value Added, Level 3 Attainment and AAB/Facilitating Subjects.
These measures can be filtered using by choosing a Cohort and a specific Data Collection by using the dropdowns just above the report detail:
You can drill down into the headline figures for more detail by selecting the 'View Report' option for each measure. This will switch the reports menu to the chosen key measures report (Value Added, Level 3 Attainment (Including Best 3 A levels) and AAB/Facilitating).
Value Added, Level 3 Attainment and AAB/Facilitating Subjects reports
Once in any of the key measure reports, as well as viewing data across the trust, you can also break these down by Schools and by Pupil Characteristics of Gender, Disadvantaged and SEN:
Each of the reports will have further filters relevant to the data in the report being viewed.
Beneath each chart, you can see the data in table format by clicking on the table heading to pull this down:
Tables can also be exported to Excel by clicking on the right hand side.
Note: If one or more schools are not showing any Value Added figures, we'd recommend asking a Sisra Administrator in the relevant schools to take a look at the steps in our guide linked here. |
Subjects report
Subject data across the trust can also be viewed from the 'Subjects' report, displayed in different tables based on the grading systems in use, along with the DfE Value Added scores which provide an indication of progress from KS4 to KS5 within each of the subjects studied in your trust.
The default table view will show Percentages of grades but the report can be set to Show Counts and Show Cumulative grades.
Subject data can be viewed by Trust, by School or by Gender, Disadvantaged or SEN pupil characteristics - these options must be used in conjunction with the 'Select Subject' filter.
Clicking on the name of a subject also takes you to the subject data by school, and you can switch to Pupil Characteristics if desired using the options along the to of the page.
Filters
Within all of the MAT dashboard reports you can filter down to particular groups of students or even specific schools within your trust.
You can access the filters by clicking the Filters button at the top of the report. From here you have the option to filter by Gender, Disadvantaged, SEN and individual Schools.
Note: Further guidance on filtering within reports can be found within our How do I filter reports? article.
User Management (Admin)
The User Management area is where admins can view both Active and Inactive users. Here you can add new staff members, make any changes to existing staff or disable access.
Note: Further guidance on managing staff can be found within our How to Add and Manage Staff Members article.
Settings (Admin)
The Settings area provides two options: Data Collection Management and School Joining Dates.
Data Collection Management
This area details of the number of Schools Contributing to each Data Collection, allows you to select whether each data collection is Displayed in Reports and choose which data collection is displayed as 'Default'.
Setting a default Data Collection means your users will then always land on that Data Collection when they log into the report or switch between year groups.
Note: Further guidance on data collection can be found within our Data Collection Management Settings article.
School Joining Dates
This shows the schools within your Trust and the date they joined. If necessary, you are able to amend the dates in which each school joined your Trust by using the calendar icon next to the relevant date. If your Trust has any KS4 schools, this is important to ensure KS4 MAT-related figures are calculated correctly when applying DfE weighting.
