Sisra Analytics, Sisra Multi-School
Overview
This article explains what to check in Sisra Analytics if a school's Attainment 8 or Progress 8 figures do not appear to be correct.
Prerequisites
- You must be an administrator.
Instructions
If a school's Attainment 8 or Progress 8 doesn't appear to be correct, check the following within Sisra Analytics:
Have you uploaded KS2 data for all appropriate students?
Follow these steps:
- Open DATA.
- Select KS3/4 & Cohort.
- Select KS2/EAP.
- Select Baselines.
-
Check the Grade Count contains the correct number of students. Select the Grade Count to drill down into the scores uploaded for each student in that KS2 subject:
For further troubleshooting guidance, see Sisra Analytics: KS3/4 - Baseline Management: Missing Student Data, Grade Not In Method, Core Nomination Incorrect, Incorrect Grade Type (Admin).
Have the qualifications been set up appropriately on the Matching page?
Follow these steps:
- Open GRADES.
- Select Matching.
-
Check for any qualifications with incorrect QN codes entered, for example, in the screenshot below, the incorrect QN code has been entered for Sci Chemistry, so it is not currently counting towards the Bio/Chem/Phys pathway, which could affect the A8/P8:
Are there any warning icons showing for the grades within this Data Set?
Follow these steps:
- Open GRADES.
- Select Grades Management.
- Select a Data Set.
-
Check for any warning icons, for example, below you can see 'Grade Not in Method' icons showing for Combined Science. As the grades are not recognised, they will not be included in figures such as A8 or P8:
For further guidance on resolving warning icons, see Sisra Analytics: Checking Grades Management (Admin).
Have the appropriate Attainment 8 Estimates been selected when publishing the report?
For all leavers cohorts, select the Attainment 8 Estimates relating to the year they were officially reported on. For example, for 22/23 Leavers, you should publish with 2023 estimates.
For all current cohorts, we'd normally recommend using the latest estimates until new ones are released.
Follow these steps:
- Open DATA.
- Select KS3/4 & Cohort.
- Select GRADES.
- Select Publish Grades.
- Select Publish next to the relevant dataset to check the A8 Estimates published with it.
Outcome
The school's Attainment 8 and Progress 8 figures now reflect the correct KS2 data, qualification matching, grade validity, and A8 Estimates in Sisra Analytics.
