If you have a school whose Attainment 8/Progress 8 doesn't appear to be correct, we would recommend checking the following within Sisra Analytics:
Have you uploaded KS2 data for all appropriate students?
You can check this via DATA > select KS3/4 and Cohort > KS2/EAP > Baselines. For example you may want to check the 'Grade Count' to ensure this contains the correct number of students. Clicking on the Grade Count allows you to drill down into the scores uploaded for each student in that KS2 subject.
Note: Further troubleshooting guidance can be found within our "KS3/4: Baseline Management: Missing Student Data, Grade Not In Method, Core Nomination Incorrect, Incorrect Grade Type (Admin)" article.
Have the qualifications been set up appropriately on the Matching Page?
If you go to GRADES > Matching, then you can check for any issues here such as qualifications with incorrect QN codes entered.
For example you can see below that the incorrect QN code has been entered for Sci Chemistry and so this is not currently counting towards the Bio/Chem/Phys pathway which could affect the A8/P8.
Are there any warning icons showing for the grades within this Data Set?
Check this via GRADES > Grades Management, by selecting a Data Set and checking for any warning icons.
For example below you can see 'Grade Not in Method' icons showing for Combined Science. As the grades are not recognised, they will not be included in figures such as A8 or P8.
Note: You can read more on resolving warning icons within our "Checking Grades Management (Admin)" article.
Have the appropriate Attainment 8 Estimates been selected when publishing the report?
For all leavers cohorts, you should select the Attainment 8 Estimates relating to the year they were officially reported on. So for 22/23 Leavers for example, you should publish with '2023' estimates.
For all current cohorts, we'd normally recommend using the latest estimates until new ones are released.
You can check the A8 Estimates published with via DATA > KS3/4 & Cohort > GRADES > Publish Grades > Click Publish next to the relevant dataset.
Note: Further guidance on troubleshooting Progress 8 discrepancies can be found within our "KS3/4 Troubleshooting - Progress 8 Discrepancies in the Reports" article.
