KS3/4: Excluding qualifications from Residual calculations (Residual Exclu. tab)

The Residual Excl tab is available on reports including a ‘Residual’ column and allows you to exclude specific qualifications from the average points used in those calculations. For example, this can be used to exclude vocational qualifications to analyse the impact they have on each Residual.

Excluding Qualifications from Residuals

To exclude qualifications from the Residuals, click the Residual Excl. tab and 'Add Exclusions'.

Place a tick in the Include or Exclude column for the relevant qualification/s and click ‘Apply’.

The 'Residuals' column and figures will then be automatically updated, excluding the selected qualifications from the average points used in those calculations.
