KS3/4: Viewing Cumulative Grade Ranges (e.g. 9-7, 9-5 etc.)

Within the Grades area of the KS3/4 Reports, you can view standard grade figures, such as the number or percentage of grades for each qualification. You can also view cumulative grade ranges, such as the number or percentage of 9-7 grades, 9-5 grades, etc. for each qualification.

Viewing Grade Ranges

To view cumulative grade ranges, open your chosen report (REPORTS > KS 3/4 > Select the report > Qualifications). Then follow the steps below:

  • Click Grades > Overview and then select the data you'd like to view this for, such as Qualifications, Students, etc.

  • Click the Cumulative icon to switch to grade range (if not already enabled). Note: You can also select the % icon on the same banner if you'd like to view percentages rather than counts.

You'll then be able to view your qualifications grouped by grade type (e.g. GCSE 9-1 single, GCSE 9-1 Double, BTEC First Award, etc.) to view the percentage/counts of each grade range. Alternatively, if you'd like to compare all qualifications on the same scale, you can follow the next steps below.

  • To view your overall count/percentages of each grade range, across all qualifications (regardless of grade type), click the Options tab, and in the Grade Type drop down, select 'All A8 Quals'.

This will group all qualifications using Attainment 8 points, allowing you to compare all qualifications in one table. For example, to count in the 9-7 column, students would need a grade worth 7 Attainment 8 points or above.

Science Combined Grade Range

When viewing grade ranges for Science Combined (Double 9-1), in order to count in the above 'All A8 Quals' view, a student would need at least a double grade for the lowest grade in that range to count. For example, to count in the 9-7% column, the student would need at least a 77 or above.

  • If you have any 'Guest' students in your cohort who you'd like to exclude from these figures, you can do this by clicking Filters tab > Add Filters. Place a tick next to 'On Roll' under the Student Statuses heading and click Apply.
