KS3/4: How to compare performance between reports (Compare)

  • Updated

The compare feature allows you to compare performance from one report, with another, for the same cohort. For example, comparing your students current grades from their latest assessment, with their Targets, to view the difference and plan intervention.

Compare

To compare from within a KS3/4 Report, within the Dataset tab, expand the Compare drop down and select the report you'd like to compare your main focus report with.

This will create additional rows to display the figures from the selected data set and also the difference between the two. Depending on the report, additional columns or rows may also be displayed allowing you to view the difference between the two sets of data.

The figures are also colour coded to indicate whether performance has increased or decreased.

Did you know?

When comparing two datasets, if you view the Grades Area - Totals report at any level, additional columns will be created allowing you to see the total number or percentages of grades above, equal to or below the dataset being compared?

For example, if you compared to your ‘Targets’ data set, this would allow you to see the count or percentage of grades that are greater than, equal to, or lower than the target grade.

This can be seen for each student, qualification, class, faculty, or filter, and you can switch between displaying these figures as counts or percentages by clicking the abacus or % icon just below the blue navigation bar:
