Pupil Asset: How to Manage School Closures (partial and full)

How to manage partial closures (this will allow certain pupils to be marked with Y codes and allow staff to be marked as absent if required)

Essentially, if pupils are being marked as absent (eg Y codes) but staff need to be marked as absent, the school will need to remain open from a calendar point of view and Y codes will need to be entered from the Registers for all affected pupils. Staff can also be marked as absent using the relevant code.

Marking your Whole School as Closed (this will flood fill Y codes for both pupils and staff)

The school can be easily marked as Closed from the School Calendar page.

To mark the school as closed, click on the day in question from the Monthly view in the School Calendar area.

The resulting pop up will allow the status of the selected date to be changed to 'Unscheduled Closure':

Please note that selecting a 'Y' school Closure will superimpose a Y code for all pupils and staff.

To add a 'Partial' closure, use the 'Emergency' option to still allow registration marks to be entered for any pupil attending if required.
