Overview

This article explains what happens in the Juniper Education App during the academic year rollover. The app updates automatically - there is nothing parents need to do.

The guidance provided in this article is specifically for those schools who use a third-party MIS and sync to us using Wonde. If you use Juniper Education's MIS (you are not using Wonde to connect your pupil and staff data to Juniper Education), complete the end of year rollup process using the End of Year wizard (for further information, see MIS: End of Year Rollup).

How rollover works

If you use a third-party MIS, carry out your annual rollover in your MIS as normal. We will run a Wonde sync on 3rd August 2026 to update your academic year, regardless of when you complete your rollover. If you haven't rolled over by 3rd August 2026, don't worry - your new groups will come through in the next Wonde sync after you do roll over.

What changes at rollover

  1. From the 3rd August 2026 your pupil and group data in the app updates to show the new year.
  2. Parents continue to see content and communications relevant to their child without any interruption. 
  3. In the Settings tab of the Juniper Education App, Parents using the app can choose to see the information related to the previous academic year.
