Juniper Education App
Overview
This article explains what happens in the Juniper Education App during the academic year rollover. The app updates automatically - there is nothing parents need to do.
How rollover works
Rollover is triggered by your school, not by Juniper Education. How it works depends on which MIS you use:
- If you use Juniper Education's MIS, complete the end of year rollup process using the End of Year wizard (for further information, see MIS: End of Year Rollup).
-
If you use a third-party MIS, carry out your annual rollover in your MIS as normal. Juniper Education detects the updated data when your MIS is synchronised overnight through Wonde sync, and updates your academic year accordingly.
There may be a delay of up to 24 hours before new groups appear after your rollover.
Juniper Education will not change your academic year without first detecting the new data from your MIS.
What changes at rollover
The Juniper Education App automatically reflects your school's active academic year. Once Juniper Education detects that your MIS has been rolled up, pupil and group data in the app updates to show the new year.
- Pupil and group data updates to reflect the new academic year once Juniper Education detects your MIS rollover.
- If your school rolls over before 24th July 2026, the Juniper Education App updates at that point.
- Parents continue to see content and communications relevant to their child without any interruption.
Key dates
| Date | What happens |
| Before 24th July 2026 | The Juniper Education App reflects 2025/2026 data. If your MIS is already rolled up, the Juniper Education App updates to show 2026/2027 pupil and group data. |
| From 24th July 2026 | If Juniper has detected your MIS rollover, the Juniper Education App defaults to 2026/2027. |
| 31st August 2026 | All schools move to 2026/2027 if not already. |
| From 1st September 2026 | 2026/2027 is the only active year. Historical 2025/2026 content remains visible for reference. |
