View, add and update pupils' data capture form responses

Overview

This article explains how to view, add and update the responses to questions on data capture forms that parents have provided on behalf of their child enrolled on a trip. Parents can provide responses to questions on forms using the Juniper Education App, alternatively, those without the app may provide answers directly to the school, which you can add manually on their behalf. Responses are saved in the Forms tab of the trip record.

Open a trip

Follow these steps to open a published trip:

  1. Open Events.
  2. Select Trips.
  3. From All Trips, locate the trip.
  4. Select the Trip to open it:

View form responses

Follow these steps to view any responses made by parents on behalf of their child for each question on the form(s) linked to a trip: 

  1. Select the Forms tab.
  2. Select the question for which you'd like to see the responses:

  3. Repeat Step 2 for each question as required.

Where multiple forms are used to capture information, the questions are not differentiated on this page - they are simply listed as a series of questions. 

Manually update / add responses for a parent

Follow these steps to manually update the answer for any questions on a form for those pupils whose parents do not use the Juniper Education App. From the Forms tab:

  1. Select the question where you want to update / add a response:

  2. Locate the pupil whose response you want to add / update. Select the ellipsis next to their name for the question:

  3. Select Edit Answer:

  4. When prompted, select / enter the answer to the question. The reponses will differ based on the specific question, for example:

  5. After answering the question, select Update.

    A message confirms the update has been made. The answer is saved and the Method is updated with Web, indicating manual entry (instead of being entered using the Juniper Education App):

  6. Repeat the above steps for each pupil and question you want to enter / change responses for.
