Overview

This article explains how to update or delete an existing data capture form. Data capture forms are used to collect information from parents about their child when they enrol the child on a school trip. 

You cannot update or delete a form that has been assigned to a published event (one that has already been sent to parents).

Edit a form

In Events, follow these steps to edit an existing data capture form that is not assigned to a published event:

1. Select Forms.
2. Locate the form that you want to update. 

3. Select the ellipsis next to the form to view the form menu:

   

4. Select Update:

   

5. Make any changes to the form as needed.

6. Select Save.

   A confirmation message is displayed confirming that the form has been saved with the changes made:

   

Delete a form

In Events, follow these steps to delete an existing data capture form that is not assigned to a published event:

1. Select Forms.
2. Locate the form that you want to update. 

3. Select the ellipsis next to the form to view the form menu:

   

4. Select Delete:

   

5. When prompted, select Confirm to continue delete the form:

   

   A confirmation message is displayed confirming that the form has been deleted: 

   

Tips and best practices

1. You cannot update or delete a form that is in use.

2. When editing a form, to delete a question from a form, select the delete icon:

   

3. When editing a form, to delete an answer to a question, select X:
