Juniper Training Centre: How do I make sure my course is marked as completed?

Overview

This article explains how to mark activities within your course as completed. After all activities and sections are completed, the course is also marked as completed. This is essential when trying to view / download / print your end of course completion certificate. 

You can only access your course completion certificate when all activities and sections (including the course evaluation form) are completed.

Instructions

As you progress through your course:

  1. Ensure all activities and marked / checked as completed.
  2. Ensure all sections are completed. If they are not showing as completed, review the activities within the section, complete them and mark them as completed.  
  3. Ensure that you complete your end of course evaluation form after all other sections of the course have been completed.

The way that the course has been configured determines what you have to check / mark as completed and the visual indicators you see as you progress through the course. The following are some examples of controls / progress indicators:

Course progress indicator

  1. The Overall progress % increases as sections of the course are marked as completed. 
  2. When the course is completed, the percentage and Overall progress % label is automatically replaced with a check and the label All Complete

Section progress indicator

  1. The Progress % increases as activities within the section are completed.
  2. When the section is completed, the progress indicator is automatically replaced with a green check. 
  3. Where a section contains only 1 activity, when the activity is complete, the progress indicator will change from 0% to a check.

  1. Check the box to indicate that you have completed the activity.
  2. For some activities, for example, completing your end of course evaluation form (as shown), the check box is automatically updated when you submit the form.

  1. This check box can be found next to activities listed in the text on some course pages. 
  2. Check the box to indicate that you have completed the activity.  

Mark as done button.

  1. Used on some courses instead of check boxes to record the completion of an activity.
  2. Select Mark as done to indicate the activity has been completed. 
  3. When selected, the activity as marked as done and the button text changes to Done.

Outcome

After everything is marked / checked as completed (including the evaluation form), the course progress indicator changes from a percentage to All Complete. At this point, you can view / download your certificate.
