MIS: How do I add or remove term-time school holidays / school closures / school training days?

Introduction

This article explains how to record term-time days as holidays (for example, May Day Bank Holiday), school closures (for example, snow days or polling days), or teacher training days. It also shows how to revert these days back to normal school days if recorded in error.

Any changes made to term dates in the past will affect attendance figures.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the appropriate permissions assigned to your Juniper account to change your institution's school open / closed settings.

Instructions

To set change how a term-time date is recorded:

  1. Select Manage.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Institution.
  4. Select Term Dates:
  5. From the Term Dates page:
    1. Select the term where you want to record a school holiday / closure / training day.
    2. Select the day from within the calendar where you want to update

      • Training.

Outcome

The change will be reflected in the calendar:

If the date is in the past, a warning message will display, explaining that this will impact registration details. Select OK to continue, or Cancel to return, without making the change:
