Overview
This article explains how to add a custom Contact Type within Juniper MIS. Custom Contact Types are created when the Contact Types built into the system are not sufficient for your needs. Contact Types are used to define the relationship between a pupil and a contact when recording pupil contacts.
Open Contact Types
From the Juniper MIS, to open Contact Types:
- Select Contacts.
- Select Contact Types.
Edit /Update a Contact Type
From Contact Types:
- Select Create:
- From Create Contact Type:
- Enter the name for the contact in Type of Contact.
- Check / uncheck Is Active. Where a Contact Type is active (checked), it is available for selection when defining the relationship between a pupil and a contact.
- Select the Base Type of contact from the inbuilt Contact Types.
- Select Save.
Outcome
You are returned to the Contact Types list. A message is displayed confirming that your new Contact Type has been created:
