Overview
This article explains how to change / update the price charged to pupils and staff for a school meal, by editing the Meal Type.
Prerequisites
- You must have Account Admin or Account Owner permissions to change / update the price of a school meal.
Instructions
Open All Meal Types
From the Juniper MIS:
- Select Manage.
- Select School Meals.
- Select Meal Types.
Change the price of a school meals
From the list of All Meal Types:
- In the list, find the meal whose price you want to change.
- Select the Type Name of the meal.
- When the Meal Type displays, select Edit:

In Edit Meal Type, scroll down to the Pricing section:
- To change a price entered by mistake for a meal where no one has selected it, overtype the current Pupil Price and Staff Price as required.
- To update a price, for example, to introduce a price rise to cover additional costs, for pupils and staff as required:
- Select or enter an Effective Date.
- Enter a New Price.
- To add an additional price change for pupils and staff, select Add then:
- Select or enter an Effective Date.
- Enter a New Price.

Repeat Steps 6 and 7 until you have made all necessary changes to the prices.
To remove an additional price that has been entered by mistake or is now not needed, select Delete next to the price change.
- Select Save.
Outcome
The Meal Type is updated with the new price(s). A message confirms this as you are returned to the Meal Type:
