Juniper Websites: How do I make sure the forms on my website are accessible?

You can check your site using a tool like Silktide to see if your form is accessible.
We have implemented many fixes recently to improve the accessibility and functionality of forms including:

  • Autocomplete – this has been linked to the validation options within forms, and setting the correct field type will ensure autocomplete works as expected.
  • ARIA Labels – these are now included by default in forms which will improve usability by screen readers.
  • Colour Contrast – This has been improved in the default styling of forms to ensure that they are visually accessible.

If your forms have been styled with custom formatting, you may find that they are not accessible. If this is the case, contact us to discuss making the changes.

If your website is over three years old, consider whether you would prefer to have a new website, designed with accessibility in mind.
