Juniper Websites: How do I write an accessibility statement?

  • Updated

Even though your website may be partially exempt, you will still need to add an accessibility statement, explaining how accessible your site is:

Partially exempt organisations would need to publish an accessibility statement on their website or mobile app.

HM Government, 2024. Accessibility requirements for public sector websites and apps.

As part of the accessibility offering applied to all Juniper Websites, a draft accessibility statement has been added to your website. From the 23rd January 2025, you can access this from Website > Accessibility Statement in your CMS. Review this and modify it as required.

Additionally, the Government website (GOV.UK) provides both model and example accessibility statements. When writing your accessibility statement, you will need to include:

  1. Information about how accessible the site is.
  2. Details of anything you know that isn’t accessible.
  3. Who to contact to provide feedback.
  4. A legal statement.
