Juniper Websites: Why can't I see all of the folders in File Manager?

You cannot see all folders in File Manager because your access Permissions have been restricted.

When you were created as a New User by your school website administrator, you were assigned a User Role. Your website may have multiple User Roles that can be assigned to users. Each User Role has many Permissions that control what you can do and access. One of these Permissions is called Constrain to user folder. It can be found in the Permission Set called File Manager:

When this is set to Allow for a specific User Role, any User assigned that User Role can only view files and folders in their User Folder. They wont see any other files or folders when they use the File Manager

If you need to see other files, ask your website administrator to:

  1. Either change your user role to one where the Constrain to user folder permission is set to Deny
  2. Or ask them to create a new role where the Constrain to user folder permission is set to Deny and ask them to change your user role to the new role.
