Overview
This article explains how to sync your school's Google calendar with your website so that events on your website calendar are automatically updated.
This feature pushes the content of your Google calendar to your website calendar. Any changes made to the website calendar will not be synchronised to your school's Google calendar.
Prerequisites
- This functionality will need to be enabled on your website. Contact us if it is not enabled and you want to use this functionality. If you subscribe to Classic+, Calendar Sync functionality is included in your subscription.
- Your school's Google calendar must be set to public.
- You will need the login details for the Google account where the Google calendar is hosted to link it to your website.
- You must have a calendar page set up on your website (see Juniper Websites: Creating a Calendar View).
Instructions

- Select the Website tab.
- Select Calendar Sync.
- Select Update settings to open the Calendar Sync Settings:
- Select Google.
- Select Authorise access to Google Calendars:
- When prompted, enter the required Google account information for the account where the Google calendar is hosted to create the link. Upon successful completion, the Calendar Sync Settings window will reload as follows:

Set which website categories will contain the imported data, and which calendar to pull through:
- Select the Website tab.
- Select Calendar Sync.
- Select Manage calendars to open Synchronised Calendars:
- Select the category within your website calendar that you would like the events from your Google calendar to pull through to:
- Select the Google calendar you want to synchronise with. By default the calendar is set to Standard Calendar - you will need to change this to the Google Calendar of your choice:
- Make sure that Google Calendar is checked and the correct calendar is selected, then select Save.
- Close Synchronised Calendars.

- Select the Website tab.
- Select Calendar Sync.
- Select Synchronise now. The Calendar Synchronisation window opens, showing whether the progress is successful:
- Close the window.

- Navigate to your calendar page
- Select the Edit tab.
- Select Categories:
- Make sure the category that your external events are pulling into is selected. Check it as appropriate.
- Select Save.
- Select Save now.
Outcome
Your calendar synchronisation has now been set up.
