Overview
If you are new to Juniper Websites, when your website is about to go live you may need to contact your domain provider to update their records. This article explains how you can determine who manages your school's domain using the Whois Lookup on the DomainTools website. When you know the name of your domain provider provide them with the relevant information we have given you to pass on to them so that they can update their records to ensure your domain name points to your hosting location.
Although we recommend using Whois Lookup on the DomainTools website, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of their information as they are a third-party organisation and not part of Juniper Education.
Instructions
- Open https://whois.domaintools.com in your browser.
- Enter your domain name (your website address without www. at the start, for example, testschool.co.uk):
- Select Search to load the WhoIs Record for your domain:
- Locate the Registrar section in the record to see your school's domain provider. In this example, it is 123 Reg:
Outcome
You now know who manages your domain. Send them the information we've given you so they can update their records and ensure your domain name points to your hosting location.
