Juniper Websites: My template doesn't work as expected, how can I fix it?

This article explains how to fix a template that isn't working as you expect it, for example, an accordion that doesn't expand correctly.

Template problems often occur when they are copied and pasted onto a page or deleted.

The following guidance should help when troubleshooting:

  1. When you want to create a new template, it is recommended to add the template, rather than copy and paste an existing one which may inadvertently edit the source code of the page.
  2. If you have a broken template, replace it.  Create a new template, as needed, copy and paste the content across from the original template and then delete the original.
  3. If you are comfortable editing HTML, you may also be able to fix the issue using the Source editor, as it is often caused by an inadvertently deleted piece of code.

If you are unsure or still having issues please contact the support team who will be happy to assist.

If you copy and paste content, use CTRL + SHIFT + V (not CTRL + V) to paste, otherwise, the styling code will be copied along with the text, which can cause problems.
