Juniper Websites: Setting Up Multi-site Access

The Multi-Site access feature simplifies school management for Multi-Academy Trusts. Staff with MAT parent site credentials can seamlessly access any linked school website (child site) without needing separate logins. This eliminates the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords, saving you time and effort.

If the MAT parent site user has a custom role (not Administrator, Publisher or Writer) they won't be able to switch to the linked site using MAT Multi-site access.

If you manage a group of websites and would like to use this feature, contact us to enable it.

Giving permission to multi-site login

Multi-site access can be added to any standard role (Administrator, Publisher or Writer). To add permissions:

  1. Select User Manager from the Home tab:
  2. Select either the Administrators, Publishers or Writers role to assign the permission to:
  3. Select Edit:
  4. Select Choose Permissions:

  5. Scroll to, and select Child Sites in the list of permissions:
  6.  Set Child Sites Login to Allow:
  7. Select Save changes to update the role permissions.

Existing school/child site logins

Manually added account on a child site

If a user has an existing account on the linked school/child site, that was created outside of this method, the user will not be able to switch to the linked site via MAT Multi-site login.

To allow multi-site login, you must login to the child site and remove the manually created account.

Single Sign-on on a child site

If Microsoft or Google SSO has been set up on both the parent and linked site, the user won't be able to switch to a linked site.

To allow multi-site login, an administrator must login to the child site and remove Single Sign-on.
