Overview

This article explains how to set a student's status to Left School in Sisra Analytics when they leave your school. It details two options for changing their status to Left School in Sisra Analytics. Both approaches work for KS3/4 and KS5 students.

Prerequisites

You must be an administrator.

Instructions

Select one of the options below for instructions:

• To manually change a student's status:

  1. Select DATA.
  2. Select Key Stage.
  3. Select Cohort.
  4. Select Students.
  5. Select Cohort.
  6. From the Students List:
     
     
     1. Check the student(s) whose status you want to change.
     2. Select Change Status.
  7. From Change Student Status:
     
     
     1. Change the students' status to Left School (the student will no longer be included in any reports for the cohort). If you'd prefer students to appear in the reports for internal analysis, but not count towards Headline figures, set their status to Guest instead.
     2. Select Change Status.
  8. Republish the Students area:
     1. Select Students.
     2. Select Publish Students.
  9. For KS5 only you must republish the Grades areas for these changes to be reflected in the reports:
     1. Select Grades.
     2. Select Publish Grades.

• To import a full student data file for the cohort, containing the most up-to-date students on roll:

  1. 1. Select DATA.
     2. Select Key Stage.
     3. Select Cohort.
     4. Select Students.
     5. Select Import to open the Import File - Student Data window:
        
        1. Select your Key Stage.
        2. Select the upload file containing the latest data.
        3. Select Import.
     6. Review the Column Mapping for the Student Data and make changes if required.
     7. Select Continue with the import.
     8. In the Student Data Import window:
        
        
        1. Toggle Update Classes to Yes.
        2. Toggle Update Filters to Yes.
        3. Ensure that Update Statuses is checked.
        4. Providing there are no issues flagged, select Complete the import.
     9. After the import is completed, any students not included in the import file (previously included in the cohort) are flagged as Left School. 
     10. Republish the Students area for these changes to be reflected in the reports:
         1. Select Students.
         2. Select Publish Students.
     11. For KS5 only, you must republish the Grades areas for these changes to be reflected in the reports:
         1. Select Grades.
         2. Select Publish Grades.

Outcome

Any student with a Left School status is placed in the Inactive Students list: 

They will not be included in any reports for the cohort. 

You can change a student’s status to On Roll or Guest (or revert them to their previous status in KS5) as needed.
